ELED 3103 - Mathematics in the Elementary School
Welcome to ELED 3103. In this course we will cover state standards, curriculum, assessment, and methodology for teaching mathematics in the elementary school. This course will include the theoretical basis of methodology in mathematics and its application, measurement and evaluation, selection and use of instructional media and computer software, and meeting the needs of culturally diverse and special needs students.
Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding.
