Welcome to ELED 4103.  Many elementary school teachers, the jacks-of-all-trades in the world of education, have several obstacles to overcome when it comes to teaching science … most of them don’t like science, many of them don’t feel confident in their knowledge of science, and almost all of them don’t know how to teach science effectively. In this course we will cover standards, curriculum, and assessment of elementary school science. Includes theoretical basis of methodology and its application, assessment, selection and use of instructional media and computer software, and meeting the needs of cultural diverse and special needs students.
